This kit was originally issued by Rho Models (which has since gone out of business), but has now been reissued by RealSpace Models.
The resin parts are nicely molded with crisp details, a smooth surface finish and no visible airholes (except for one on an engine nozzle). All parts, except for the hollow engine nozzles, are solid. There is some very minor flash around the engine nozzle parts. All parts are still on their pour plugs. Three different payload shrouds are included, along with markings to depict the launch vehicle for Mars Global Surveyor, Mars Pathfinder, or a generic Iridium launcher. If you get ambitious, you can even depict the 732X and 742X versions of the vehicle. The instruction sheet includes detailed text instructions on how to build the vehicle you want to depict, along with text and graphical painting/decaling guides. A list of references completes the instructions.
