This year's IPMS/USA National Convention was held in Loveland, Colorado, at the J.Q. Hammons Conference Center attached to the Embassy Suites hotel. As always, the model work in the contest room was outstanding. The convention didn't have Disney World to compete with, unlike last year's show, but the climate was much nicer. And the scenery in nearby Rocky Mountain National Park was spectacular! I shot these photos Saturday morning to make sure that all entries were on the tables. I have no rhyme or reason as to what I photographed. I tried to get all of the real and hypothetical space entries, some of the sci-fi entries and a lot of cars, dioramas, ships and some airplanes. Not much armor though. Anyway, these photos don't really do justice to the models on the table: try to get out to the next National Convention in Hampton Roads, Virginia, next year to see what I mean.
