N-1 stack undergoing vehicle integration tests.
The relationshiips between the 3 stages is clearly visible: the entire
vehicle was a tapering cylinder, connected by lattices of pipes for interstages.
Note the yellowish dome of the top of the third stage fuel tank.
All 3 stages used kerosene as fuel and liquid oxygen for oxidizer.
The technicians shown here are a little more "to
scale" in this photo than in some of the others presented here!
