The X-17 photo scanned and uploaded by Roger seems to be the X-17 flown on March 21,1957.
This was the 31st full size vehicle, serial R-25 (research 25, a re-entry payload flight).
It flew from Cape Canaveral L(aunch) C(omplex) -3, as did all flights from #1 through #32.
