1998 IPMS/USA National Convention

This model of the SR-71 had the most realistic black finish for the airplane that I have ever seen. It was also wired for lights: the afterburners glowed, the instrument display glowed, and the running lights blinked. In addition, the camera ports were detailed with CD laser lens: they looked great! I believe it took second place in a split category.
