1997 IPMS/USA National Convention

This incredible model of the ASTP took second place in the Real Spacecraft, etc. category. Thomas added the RealSpace Models Command Module Interior kit and lights to the Monogram Apollo CSM, modified the CSM to the ASTP configuration, scratchbuilt the Docking Module and Soyuz docking collar and modified the Ogonek Soyuz kit to the ASTP configuration. Astronauts and cosmonauts are shaking hands in the Command Module!
