The Cats of Ninfinger Productions

OK... what can I say? It's an Internet Law that every person with a web page has to post pictures of their pets and/or kids. Well, we don't have any kids (and never will if I have anything to say about it), but we love cats... Here are the current (and some past) members of the infestation:

Lola

Lola
2007-

Lola is a special case. Krista had her rescued from a friend's house in a neighboring town. She had a horrific looking wound on the side of her head that turned out to be self-inflicted. She was also quite feral... but Krista brought her in, tended to her wounds and pretty much tamed her. She's still quite shy, but will occasionally flop down next to us and demand to be petted.

Biggo
2006-

Biggo showed up on our windowsill in mid November 2006 and pretty much forced his way into our lives. He was a friendly cat, but fiercely independent and incredibly strong-willed. We think he was left behind when a neighbor moved: no one responded to our posted notices about him. So we brought him in and he's been trying to get back outside ever since.
Biggo
Yum-Yum

Yum-Yum
2003-

Yum-Yum may not be a purebred Siamese (or maybe Burmese, I keep getting them mixed up), but she sure looks and acts like one. Fortunately, she doesn't have the typical Siamese yowl. She's the remaining one of the three refugees that we inherited when Krista's mom had to give them up.

Oscar
2002-

Oscar was a one year old Rescued Kitty from the Oak Hill Animal Rescue people (or something like that... forgive me if I've screwed up the name). He was pretty skittish at first, but after a couple of weeks he has made himself at home terrorizing the other cats. He's since become the terrorized one now that Biggo and Lola have moved in.

Oscar
NuGirl

NuGirl
2001-

NuGirl (formerly named "New Girl," but since (as nearly as I can reckon) she's the thirteenth cat I've had in my "adulthood" I decided to use the Greek letter 'Nu.' Hey, I've got to put my physics education to *some* good use!) is a retired (born in spring 1994) Russian Blue brood cat. She's developed some health issues in her later years: she's lost all her teeth, gained a lot of weight and become diabetic. She's also got some really bad allergies that make us wonder how she manages to breathe sometimes. But she still purrs loudly when you look at her.

In Memoriam

Joan

Joanie
2003-2007

Joanie was one of the refugees from Krista's mom. She could glower at you like she really meant it, but she was really a sweetie. She was about fifteen years old when she left us on January 25, 2007.

Pushkin

Pushkin
2001-2006

Pushkin was seven years old when I got him. He was a retired show/stud cat and was one of the sweetest cats I've ever known. He developed a number of health problems in the last few years, including hyperthyroidism, congestive heart failure and lymphoma. But he was always ready to have his head scratched. We buried him next to Nick on June 15, 2006.

Nick

Nick
2003-2005

Nick was eighteen when he joined us as one of the refugees, but he kept us entertained. He could carry on a conversation (albeit monosyllabic) and was the assumed head of the house, but time finally caught up with him. We buried him on April 26, 2005.

Cassandra

Cassandra
1990-2001

Cassandra lost her battle against stomach cancer on March 19, 2001. I miss her every day.

Fozzie

Fozzie
1978-1996

Fozzie was a faithful companion for over seventeen years. I remember her with much fondness.
