Shock Cord Mount
This shows the base of the Rastrocam. I glued a JT-55 stage coupler
to the nose of the Astrocam, cut a couple of notches for the shutter
string, and glued a standard Estes shock cord mount to the inside wall
of the stage coupler. I recover the Rastrocam on its own 12 inch
parachute. I wrapped a couple of layers of electrical tape around the
coupler/camera joint to provide for a snug fit in the carrier rocket's
body tube. Plus, it looks nicer than that naked joint...
