This kit is part of a series of releases from Sharkit to depict Werner von Braun's 1969 proposed Mars exploration vehicle using nuclear engines. This is the main hydrogen tank for the NERVA engine. The main part of the kit is a huge PVC tube. Corrugated paper provides the ribbing along the ends of the tube. Along with this are some smaller cast resin parts for the RCS pods and nozzles. The resin parts have some minor flash and a few molding gunges, but no major air holes. The RCS nozzles are hollowed out for a nice effect. The tube is capped by large vacuformed styrene: a cap for the forward end, and a conical part for adding on the NERVA engine (a separate Sharkit). The mylar is used to provide a base for the RCS pods. The instructions include text assembly and painting instructions supplemented by graphical detailed drawings for the RCS pods.
