Parts are solid cast resin with a smooth surface finish. The details
are finely etched, but there are some pinholes. There is some flash
on some of the parts (engines, third stage, and payload adaptor in my
kit). The photoetched part is used for the interstage trusswork while
the stiff wire is to represent the strapon tank braces. The
instruction sheet contains a short history of the launch vehicle
family, text assembly instructions and side-view drawings. A text
painting guide is also included to supplement the drawing. A list of
Proton photo and drawing references completes the instruction sheet.
