This kit was originally issued by Rho Models (which has since gone out of business), but has now been reissued by RealSpace Models. The Mercury capsules and photoetched tower, however, were originally RealSpace Models parts, so it's come full circle.
The resin parts are crisply molded with some minor flash on the fins. No airholes are visible except for a couple at the base of the boilerplate Mercury capsule part. Two types of Mercury capsules are included to depict a boilerplate or production type capsule so that either the LJ-2 or LJ-5 vehicle may be depicted. The assembly instructions are in English text, with wraparound drawings to be used as painting and decaling guides. A short program history and a list of references complete the instructions.
