This kit is intended to accurize and superdetail the recentAirfix Saturn 1B Apollo 7 or older Airfix Saturn 1B and RealSpace Models Apollo Conversion kits. Replacement parts are included for the kit fins, antennae, first stage engine bells, among others. Other parts add additional details, such as panel covers and umbilical plugs, to the Airfix kit parts. You get a choice of adding photoetched and resin parts to the Airfix LES tower or use the replacement resin part. The resin parts are molded with crisp details, no visible airholes and a smooth surface finish. All parts are still attached to their pour plugs. Some of the resin parts are identified by numbers molded onto the plugs. Photoetched parts are identified by numbers etched next to the parts. Some surgery will be required on the Airfix parts, particularly on the first stage engine section. The instructions are divided into sections: LES tower, BPC, SM and LM adapter, 2nd stage and interstage, and 1st stage. Each section includes both wraparound and detail drawings showing where the replacement and detail parts go. In addition to that, each section also references photos on the New Ware web site.
