Al sent the following notes about this model:
The kit was basically straight out of the box. Minor modifications were:
- The nose was built up using super glue,baking soda and recontoured with sand paper to a better shape.
- The wing tips were reshaped to the rounded profile exhibited by the later test versions and production versions of the V-1. The kit's wing tips are of square shape of the early test versions of the V-1.
- The electrical conduit from the nose to the engine along the top of the body was added with a thin plastic strip.
- A dolly was made from scratch using styrene rod and card. The casters were taken from the spares box, being tail wheelsfrom some WW2 fighters. It was painted medium grey. The colours are for the 111th test version of the V-1, comprised of light grey engine, with the body in yellow for the upper surfaces, and
black for the under surfaces. The number 111 was printed on clear decal stock using a photocopier.
