This part is a direct replacement for the Mercury spacecraft in the Dragon Redstone Rocket w/ Mercury Spacecraft kit to represent the version of the capsule flown by Alan Shepard (and the unmanned flights as well). The part itself is a 3D printed acrylic part with fine details. Since it's a direct replacement, no cleanup is required. However, since it's acrylic, you can't use styrene cement to join it to the Dragon kit parts. Epoxy or superglue will work. The detail on the part is really incredible. And since each part is newly printed, the 1000th part ordered will have the same sharp details as the first one: there is no mold to wear out. 3D printing has come a long way in a very short time.
