Saturn 1B

The Saturn 1B was used to launch the Lunar Module into earth orbit for its first test. It was also used to launch the CSM into earth orbit for test flights and for flying to the Skylab space station. This particular vehicle was the backup rescue vehicle for the Skylab program.

I shot this walkaround series of photos of the rocket in July 1999.
